Nowadays we often hear about the vast amounts of money being spent on space exploration. It is pretty obvious that a lot of people don’t find this kind of exploration necessary, because they think we should focus more on what’s happening on our planet. I somehow agree with them, I also have some things to add.

Firstly, the exploration of other planets or galaxies has had a massive impact on the research of the mysteries of our universe. These explorations have led to fascinating discoveries and technological innovations. However, we should take a look at the problems that our planet is facing. Many people believe that the massive financial resources allocated to space exploration could be used to solve the problems facing our society. As space explorations move forward, billions of people live in poverty. Too many children go to bed hungry, and a lot of families barely survive from day to day.

Secondly, we can appreciate that space exploration should not be completely stopped, because it has an important role in accumulating our knowledge even being nations together which are fighting for the same goal. Some missions focus on discovering new forms of life and attempting to colonize other planets. Although we should focus on our own planet and try to help it so that we never have to leave. Because if we even have to leave due to natural disasters that could lead to human extinction, I am sure that many of us would be left here, they can’t save all of us, maybe only important people. Therefore I believe we should concentrate on current issues, such as excessive pollution, deforestation, overuse of

Earth’s resources, hunger and poverty.

In conclusion, even though space exploration has its benefits and shouldn’t be completely stopped, we could focus more on the problems of our people and our planet because Earth has been, is and will be our home, no matter what and we must take care of it.
